Class #105 Y4F – Youth 4 Fitness Saturday 10:30 a.m. (Brian and Ashton)
In the early weeks of my Find Fred project I had a lot of fun attending the weekday afternoon Y4F classes. With just a few classes remaining in my Find Fred adventure, I was really looking forward to my last class with our adolescent members here at PAC. This very popular kid's class is the result of a lot of hard work and dedication by PAC Personal Trainer and Fitness Area Supervisor Brian Bravo. Helping Brian this morning was PAC Fitness Staff member Ashton Marlbrough. Brian and Ashton had the PAC Gymnasium all prepared for an energetic game of indoor ‘baseball'. We played with a soft rubber playground ball and a wiffle ball bat. Brian does a fantastic job working with a rather large age range of kids. Our youngest baseball player this morning was five and our oldest was ten. We divided teams evenly and the fun began. The kids love the competitive "game" aspect of class but Brian and Ashton make sure everyone gets to play, hit, and most importantly have fun. Everybody seems to cheer everybody in this class, even if it's just for giving it a good try.
This hour-long session really flew by this morning. My team was behind 21-19 going into the bottom of the final inning and my teammates pulled out a dramatic win, 22-21. Today was all about offense! Brian's Y4F classes teach us all a good lesson. We you make exercise a fun thing, it doesn't seem so much like exercise. This morning's PAC gift card winner is Joshua Vath. Participation Honor Roll: Joshua Vath (gift card winner) Kelsey Vath Alix Vath Sierra Ballard Lily Medeiros Mason Buhler Max Wellbuhler
