Tennis Policies


GENERAL INFORMATION
 

PELICAN ATHLETIC CLUB has 14 lighted tennis courts: 4 Rubico & 10 Hard

Peak Tennis Hours = MONDAY - FRIDAY @ 9:00 am-10:30 am; 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

COURT RESERVATION POLICY

  • Reservations may be made up to 2 days in advance.
  • Reservations are made at 1 ½ hour intervals.
  • Reservations may be made once per day per member.
    -- If more courts are available at the end of playing time, another 1 ½ hour segment may be used.
     
  • No double bookings will be allowed during peak hour times.
  • Member who reserved court needs to be present on specific court reserved. 
  • Members must reserve a court to guarantee a playing time.
    -- If no reservations are made, courts are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Members must check in at the front desk/concierge's desk before claiming a reserved court.
    --
    Members have 15 minutes to check in for a reservation before forfeiting the court to another member and being charged a $10.00 fee.
  • Cancellations must be made 2 hours prior to the reserved time slot.
    -- A $10.00 fee will be charged to any member who does not call or does not show for a reserved court.
  • The Tennis Director has the right to adjust court assignments to accommodate teams, leagues, lessons, tournaments, and special events.
  • If no courts are available at the desired time, members can be placed on a waiting list and will be called if a cancellation occurs.
  • Reservations may be made either in person or over the phone.
    -- All reservations must be made with member's name and account number.
  • Participating in GROUP PLAY where courts have been pre-booked (ie. Men's/Women's Morning/Day/Night League, USTA League, Northlake League, etc.) you will not be allowed to reserve extra courts for that particular league play unless given permission by the Tennis Director.

COURT ETIQUETTE

  • NO food allowed on courts at any time

  • Shirts must be worn at all times

  • NO black soled tennis shoes allowed on courts

  • NO profanities

  • No one under the age of 14 without parental supervision - with the exception of organized clinics with instructors

LEAGUE POLICY

  • Make up matches can be made in advance, but not during peak hour times
    (see above for peak hours)
  • Reservations must have the captain's name, team name and date of the match being made up.
  • Extra courts may not be reserved for league play.
  • You must be a member of Pelican Athletic Club to be on a League Team.

DEMO RACQUET POLICY

  • Demo racquets are available for use through the Tennis Staff for individuals 18 years or older.
BALL MACHINE RENTAL POLICY

BALL MACHNIE RENTAL PRICES: $6.00 per 1 1/2 hour session

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to rent the ball machine
    (unless Parent/Guardian is present)
  • The ball machine can not be used on the Rubico courts
    [ONLY courts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14 can be reserved for ball machine]
  • Payment will be made @ Front Desk/Conceirge prior to use of the machine
  • Reservations are made through the Front Desk/Concierge
  • Players must return the ball machine back to the storage room and lock the door when finished
  • Maximum reservation time is 1 1/2 hour sessions per day

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE PREMESIS
